The combat shotgun is primarily used to take down the rest of the horde, and can be used to save yourself if you screw up a combo. The combo consists of the combat shotgun, the hunting shotgun, and the katana. This combo should only be used by advanced players, because a simple slip-up can easily lead to your death. There is a combo of weapons that is ideal for using against the Scrake. Although the Scrake can get in a few swings before they are killed. Their arsenal is one of the most effective against the Scrake. It will retaliate for friendly fire, and will almost always win, unless their opponent is a Fleshpound.Ī Scrake can easily be taken down by a Support Specialist due to their large damage output in a short time. On Hell on Earth and Suicidal, a Scrake will rage when at seventy percent health. On Hard and below, a Scrake rages when at fifty percent health. A Scrake rages based on how much health it has left, and the variable that determines how much health it loses before it rage is the difficulty. Once a Scrake has raged, it will not stop until it is dead. However, it will not walk slowly for long, as once it loses a certain amount of health, it will rage. Once a player leaves its attacking range after being impaled, it will use its powerful swing again and will repeat said process until the Scrake is dead. It will continue to use this impaling attack until said player is dead or moves out of its attacking range. After said swings, it will impale the player with its chainsaw, which will do small damage over time. It will swing its chainsaw with either one or two powerful swings which will deal deadly damage. the Kat just does not deal out damage fast enough. The Scrake will walk at a steady pace towards its target, and will attack with its chainsaw when close enough. with a Kat you would be swarmed while swat-flinching a Scrake and pummeled by a FP before you could kill it. On the crane wave a level 6 zerk on HOE solo can stand still for 2 mins. I even made one of my own KFO map to have a wave like that. no FPs or Scrakes so the Kat is perfect for use there. like the container wave in KFO Frightyard. If I am being serious as a zerk I use the alt-fire on the Claymore, I fnd the Kat can be fun but pointless beyond that, I normally just go from axe to claymore and not waste my money on the Kat upgrade. so a commando opening up on a scrake will have no effect beyond dealing damage.

When you have a scrake stunned he won't un-stun from fire unless he is hit with something that should stun him and misses. You can not un-stun a scrake being flinch-locked since he is not stunned to begin with. for Zerk there is the "flinch-lock" and "stun".
